Centennial Walkway is not as good as the the bush walk going from the same place to roughly the same place (duck pond to the tennis courts on Stanley Street.) called someting like “lovers track” The “Centennial Walkway” is just like a boring city walk without having noisy polluting truck & buses going past you all the time.
Hi Eric, The brief for the walk for the University of Auckland was to keep to walks to about 40-45 minutes. Hence the Centennial Walkway. However, I do believe that people are capable of finding different routes themselves, and they may like to take the Lovers Track as an alternative. Cheers, Helen
Can you please tell what the rees that line centennial walkway are?

Check out this document http://bts.nzpcn.org.nz/bts_pdf/ABJ59(1)2004-44-56-AkDomain.pdf. There is a variety of trees and hopefully you will be able to determine the names from the top of page 46 .
